My dear mother always used to make current obbin with the pastry left over from making pasties. As children we would eagerly await it's exit from the oven so we could devour it before it had any chnce to cool down
Current obbin is a simple sweet pastry treat. Pastry is rolled out then spinkled with sugar, dried fruit, mixed spice and little dabs of butter. The pastry is then rolled up and baked.
we send our current obbins out frozen and uncooked, to bake at home. The obbin is aprox six inches long
